CERALINE Wax Crayons exit in 10 basic colours and 4 oxides (FeO, CoO, CuO and MnO). All colours are available in 2 versions: SK 02a for earthenware and SK 7 for stoneware.
On demand and for a minimum volume the wax crayons are available in version SK 05a.
The version for low temperature can also be used at high temperature, but the installed line will fade out slightly. The version for high temperature cannot be used at low temperature, because the colours will fail to stick.
With CERALINE Wax Crayons you can draw upon any ceramic foundation, which is slightly rough. The installed lines are indelible. That is why it is possible to glaze with a brush without rubbing out the CERALINE lines. You can also apply a covering glaze over the CERALINE lines without masking it. The colours are stable, even after firing in reducing atmosphere.
CERALINE Wax Crayons are not meant to colour surfaces. But because of the water-repellent quality of the wax, filling in the drawing with pigment or glaze will be faster and more accurate. Because of the anti-flux character of CERALINE there will be no overflow of the adjoining glaze while firing, similar to the ancient Cuerda Seca technique.
Our products are dust-free and contain no soluble salts. All applied pigments are silicon bounded (ceramic stains), with the exception of the oxide wax crayons. Contrary to common chalk crayons using CERALINE Wax Crayons will not release particles of dust, which will be a benefit to your health.
